To start a two-match weekend, Madisyn appeared at Local Pro Wrestling's Eye of the Storm 3 to face Florida native Dream Girl Ellie in an outdoor match at The Depot. Madisyn has faced Dream Girl Ellie at least three times this year, with the last meeting at UCW Locking Horns 2, where Madi picked up a win. In another strong performance by the Madi Media CEO, the audience was highly engaged with Madisyn throughout the match. In the end, Madi lost after the referee botched a two-count pin call and Ellie snuck up and pinned Madisyn to end the match.
Ring Entrance
Madisyn entered the ring first to her "321 Madi" entrance song. Numerous attendees stood up and cheered as she made a half-circle around the squared circle. At ringside, Madisyn interacted with a fan and then requested that the ring announcer reintroduce her (she couldn't let the crowd forget who she is). That request turned out to be important, as the crowd chanted her name throughout the night.
Madi Media Pass Match Unveiling
As Dream Girl Ellie was about to enter the ring, Madisyn pointed to a fan to showcase her new Madi Media Pass, a VIP credential that gives fans access to speak with her at all events. The Madi Media Pass was first unveiled at Madisyn's Highspots Virtual Gimmick Table appearance earlier this month. This was the first in-person unveiling of the Media Pass.
Dream Girl Ellie Entrance
Second in the ring, Dream Girl Ellie walked in to high-fives from the crowd.
Match Start
The match began with Madisyn climbing to the top turnbuckle for her signature Madi Tower Hold, then waving to Dream Girl Ellie. The audience started chanting "Madisyn", or, in some people's opinion, "Madi Sucks." It sure sounded like "Madisyn" to the Madi Media team. Madisyn engaged with the audience, encouraging them further. Dream Girl Ellie then tried to turn the crowd against Madisyn, and the two traded sides. Ellie took Madisyn's microphone and pointed it toward the crowd to encourage more chants. Madi objected, and the referee told her to put down the microphone. The match proper began with a collar-and-elbow tie-up at ring center amid continued Madi chants. Madisyn caught Ellie in a headlock and yelled, "Ellie sucks!" which generated more audience commotion. Dream Girl Ellie escaped the headlock and maneuvered behind Madisyn. Madi broke free and locked in another headlock. Ellie escaped again and applied a headlock of her own, then twisted and slammed Madi to the mat. Ellie attempted a pin, but Madi kicked out at two.
Middle Match
After the kickout, the two engaged in a hand-to-hand struggle that seesawed between them. Madi broke the hold, kicked Ellie, showcased her "The Headline" slogan on her backside, and pointed toward the spectators. The two then engaged in a test of strength that ended with Ellie taking Madisyn down and going for a pin. Madi easily kicked out, went to the corner, and charged at Ellie; however, Ellie dropped down, grabbed Madisyn, and spun her into what looked like a cartwheel backflip. Madisyn retreated to the back right corner, where she blocked a strike from Ellie with her leg. Ellie delivered a back kick followed by a head-grab flip, setting up a running strike against a stunned Madisyn on the mat. Ellie got a two-count. Throughout this sequence, the crowd was yelling variations of Madisyn's name.
Madisyn Regains Control
Madisyn got up, and Ellie threw her toward the front rope. Madi countered with a spinning kick that stopped Ellie in her tracks. Madisyn then grabbed Dream Girl Ellie and slammed her against the middle rope, where Ellie struck her neck. Madisyn held the middle rope, catapulting Ellie back toward the center of the ring. Madi proceeded to slam Ellie's head to the mat, kick her, and trap her against the front left turnbuckle. From there, Madisyn went to the apron and delivered a strong kick that knocked Ellie backward. A fan in the front row reacted by jumping up and down, shouting "Yeah!" This led to a two-count pin by Madisyn. Madi then grabbed Ellie by the hair and delivered a vertical suplex. Madisyn stepped on Ellie and posed for a photo with her boot still on her opponent. After that, Madi hit a strong back suplex. A pin attempt failed at two. Madisyn picked Ellie up and applied a leg lock, but Ellie escaped with a reverse kick. Madisyn used a rope rebound to slam Ellie back down and delivered several punches to her face. Ellie then found herself locked in a behind-the-back arm hold by Madisyn, which she escaped from before flipping Madisyn over.
Match End
After the flip, Dream Girl Ellie punched Madisyn in the face several times. Madisyn threw her into the turnbuckle post, and Ellie rebounded with a jumping kick to Madi's face. Madisyn ended up stunned on the mat. Madisyn attempted an elbow strike, but Ellie ducked and proceeded with two clotheslines, a back kick, and a lift-and-slam to the mat. Ellie went for a pin, but again it only got a two-count. Ellie tried to pull Madisyn up, but Madisyn countered with a back-leg slam. Madi went for a pin that resulted in another two-count. Madisyn showed her frustration with the referee's count. Madi grabbed Ellie for a vertical suplex, but Ellie blocked it, grabbed Madisyn by the waist, and threw her backward. Ellie lined up at the front ropes, let out an ear-splitting scream, and charged at Madisyn. Madi rolled out of the ring to avoid the hit. Ellie followed to the outside and unloaded a series of punches to Madisyn's face. Ellie threw Madisyn back into the ring, where Madisyn delivered a kick and a strong slam. A pin attempt appeared to reach a three-count, but the referee ruled otherwise. Even a fan in the crowd commented, "That was the ref's fault."
Madisyn, upset with the call, cornered the referee and yelled at him. She then turned to go after Ellie, but Ellie quickly grabbed Madi by the legs and rolled her into a pin she couldn't escape, ending the match. The crowd was confused and stunned by the turn of events in the final minute. Madisyn exited the ring by kicking a turnbuckle and expressing her frustration with the referee's earlier call.
This match was action-packed, and the fans were highly engaged, with chants for Madisyn, good or bad, continuing throughout. Toward the middle of the match, you could feel a shift in crowd support for Madisyn. In the end, it seemed the fans knew who Madisyn is: The Headline.
After this loss, Madisyn will head back to Tampa, where she will headline CCW's Havoc and Haze 29 event alongside Sofia Sivan as part of The Gamer Report tag team on Saturday.
