The Headline defeated Xanti Li with a whirlwind lighting slap that knocked Xanti straight to the ground at SHINE 87 in Clearwater, Florida, at the OCC Road House.
Madisyn Maxxwell (Madi Maxx) secured a win and unveiled her new, signature wrestling gear designed by Kiss of Doom for the first time in a match.
Opening
Madisyn Maxxwell entered the stage with her signature Madi 321 Entrance Song and blue blazer and microphone combo. Madi then circled the entire arena to get the cameras and audience focused on The Headline. In a first, Madisyn threw her microphone to the referee, who completed the catch. A small move; however, it stood out as a showcase of Madisyn’s creative wrestling style. On the other hand, Xanti Li entered the ring with a standard entrance song and a stare down from the sidelines.
Match Start
The match started with Madi Maxx performing a Madi Tower Hold, where she sits on top of a turnbuckle and waits for her opponent’s reaction. The wait got to Xanti Li, and Madisyn was able to flip Xanti over and then taunted her with a “you want to wrestle” yell.
The Match
As the match progressed, Madisyn exited the ring after Xanti performed a jump kick/dropkick to the back side of Madisyn. Outside of the ring, Madi was able to regroup, interact with the fans, and then reenter the ring ready to go. After that, the two engaged in a back-and-forth battle. Madisyn was able to then hit Xanti with a spiral leg hit to the gut and knock her to the ground.
Match End
Toward the end of the match, Xanti Li was able to pick up some steam and delivered a hit to Madisyn that knocked her to the ground. Then Xanti was able to knock Madi to the ground again with a dropkick to the face. This led to Madisyn being on the ground for an extended period. As a result, Xanti took advantage of this and climbed to the top of a corner turnbuckle and performed a diving crossbody that knocked Madisyn to the ground once again. Madi, however, was able to regroup and threw the referee in front of Xanti, which distracted her. Madisyn then powered up and performed her signature whirlwind lightning slap move. Xanti was knocked to the ground, and Madi was able to get the winning 3-count pin.
Match Exit
Madisyn was declared the winner and exited the ring winded and victorious. Madi’s exit music played, and she showed a stunned Xanti her new “This Just In” sparkle cuff.
With this performance, it is clear that wrestlers and fans should stay tuned as Madisyn continues her top-of-the-line wrestling takeover.
